This application is factually incorrect with regard to parking behind the development as this car park is a 2 hour waiting limit and as such cannot be used for parking by the residents. The parking further up the old Northampton Road is not 24 hours and so the only parking available for residents close to the properties will be road side parking which is already taken by the existing residents along that length of Watling Street. No one can sensibly live in Towcester without having their own transport as bus services finish too early in the evening and start too late in the morning to get to and from jobs working sensible hours anywhere outside Towcester and so without parking the development will only throw more vehicles into street parking as has happened elsewhere in Towcester. The developer must therefore make provision for parking either at the site or elsewhere solely for the use of the development.
