I have no objections to the change of use in principle, however I strongly object to the planned provision for parking spaces (or lack of). There are significant parking issues in the area, and often existing can't park anywhere near their properties, if they get a space at all! This is in addition to the existing parking issues in the town. The surrounding off street parking spaces in the area are restricted so have very limited use so to add extra dwellings to the area without adequate parking will have a huge detrimental effect on existing residents and visitors to the town. Our High Street is already struggling and this will not help. The update to suggest that the proposed parking spaces be taken off the planning application to build a further dwelling just highlights the greed of the developer and lack of understanding or empathy with Towcester's existing residents and visitors.
