I am not against houses being built, however I do think that you need to think about extra local services. We live a two minute walk from Woodland View Primary School and our son did not get in on the basis of it being over subscribed. We weren’t the only ones and I believe the school couldn’t accommodate around 25 children this year. This is unfair to local residents, especially if the new houses are first over us in the school entry criteria. We would however be interested in possibly buying an “affordable” house as we are currently renting and would like to stay in this area. I believe every housing site has to have a certain number of “affordable” homes? But again, it would be silly to go ahead if you cannot expand facilities.
