I object to large scale development of this nature on a green field site. It will do nothing to support the town of Northampton which is in dire need of regeneration. It's location suggests it will become a dormitory for workers in Milton Keynes rather than an active community; homeowners would need to use their cars to get virtually anywhere and the planning application appears to offer zero provision for infrastructure requirements. Whilst there remain 100s of empty retail units and brownfield sites in Northampton that could be vastly improved by residential development and would offer a much more sustainable way of meeting local housing requirements, I consider planners should be looking at those options rather than supporting large-scale residential development in open countryside.
